Don Moen, an American gospel music icon, will wow gospel music fans at Harvest Praise 2023, hosted by Harvest International Ministries, the group behind the April 7 crucifixion worship extravaganza. Harvest Praise 2023, which is scheduled to take place on Good Friday, April 7, at the main auditorium of the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), will feature Don Moen leading other seasoned local and international artists with soul-inspiring rhythms. Don Moen is an American singer-songwriter, preacher, and producer of Christian praise music. He was born on June 29, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Good Friday Message from Reverend Fitzgerald Odonkor, General Overseer of Harvest International Ministry, she said, would be one of the highlights of Harvest Praise. Harvest Praise was founded in 1998 as an evangelistic gospel entertainment and ministering platform to encourage folks to have an extraordinary relationship with God on Good Fridays.The annual event has also been used to showcase local and worldwide gospel music talent. According to Don Moen's brief profile provided by the Ghana News Agency Tema Entertainment Desk, his music has sold over five million units worldwide.
Over the course of his more than 20 years with Integrity Media, he held positions as Creative Director, President of Integrity Music, President of Integrity Label Group, and Executive Producer of records by Integrity Music. In 2008, he departed Integrity Media to launch The Don Moen Company. Along with receiving nine nominations for his songs, Moen was honored with a Dove Award for his work on the musical God with Us. Moen is also a prolific songwriter, having worked with Claire Cloninger, Paul Overstreet, Martin J. Nystrom, Randy Rothwell, Ron Kenoly, Bob Fitts, Debbye Graafsma, Paul Baloche, Tom Brooks, among many others.
He has also collaborated with Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Alex Acuna, and Carl Albrecht, all of whom are accomplished musicians. Some of the most well-known songs in contemporary Christian music bear his name.
